What is included:

-Step by step sewing guidance by expert dressmakers who will work closely with you to ensure accuracy of fit and quality of production.

-Celtic Knotwork of your choice chosen from original designs by Celtic Dragon Dress Designs’ knotwork artist, Martha Ebel.

- Design digitizing and machine embroidery onto dress panels.

-Zipper and panel stiffener (three choices from crisp to very stiff).

Some of you may already have fabric, those of you who do not we will let you know how much of each material you will need after the first class and all of the fabric in the shop will be available for your convenience with a price per yard, as well as embroidery threads.

This is a six week course that meets once a week for three hours, more if needed, no dresses will be allowed to leave the premises unless completed and inspected by a Celtic Dragon Dress Designs dressmaker for quality control.  The six weeks will be broken up as follows:

Saturday, June 6, 2009, 9AM-12PM:  The class will be a presentation on Celtic Knotwork, how to go about creating it, and how to incorporate meaningful designs and colors into your dress.  Participants will practice their new skills and be allowed to choose designs from a dress book by Martha Ebel.  By the end of the class students and families will have chosen their dress styles, colors, and knotwork themes for the next week.  Participants will be required to gather the remaining materials needed for their dresses by next class along with finalizing their dress embroidery designs.  Embroidery threads will be ordered by Celtic Dragon Dress Designs.

Saturday, June 13, 2009, 9AM-12PM:  All embroidery designs and final dresses will be discussed and the final versions submitted for embroidery.  The remainder of the class time will be the making and fitting of the muslin patterns for each dancer, the dancer will need to be present for this class to ensure fit.  Throughout the class each participant will have a chance to experience what is involved in the digitizing and embroidery of the designs.

Two week break to allow time for completion of embroidery for all dresses.
